Hanoi will temporarily close many inner-city streets when the city organises the Cultural Festival for Peace.
Specifically, from 2 pm today, October 4, until 12 pm on October 6, all vehicles will be prohibited from using the following streets: Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Lai (from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Le Thach, Dinh Le, Nguyen Xi, Trang Tien (from Ngo Quyen to Dinh Tien Hoang), Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Tran Nguyen Han (from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Luong Van Can (from Hang Hanh to Le Thai To), Bao Khanh (from Bao Khanh Alley to Le Thai To), and Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien).
From 1 pm to 12 pm on October 4 and from 5 am to 12 pm on October 5 and 6, temporary restrictions will be imposed on trucks transporting goods weighing 500 kilograms or more, as well as passenger buses with 29 seats or more on Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai (from Ly Thai To to Tran Quang Khai), Ba Trieu (from Hang Khay to Tran Hung Dao), Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Ham Long), Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du and Pho Hue.
Personal vehicles will also be restricted on the streets of Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai (from Ly Thai To to Tran Quang Khai), Ba Trieu (from Hang Khay to Tran Hung Dao), Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Ham Long), Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, and Pho Hue.
During this time, the Hanoi Police Department will have alternative traffic guidelines for the banned and restricted routes.
