Thuy Lam, Miss Universe Vietnam in 2008, has married the love of her life after seeing him for five years.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, 29, is not a company head as rumors have it but has a doctorate in economics from the US and works for the World Bank in Hanoi.
Thuy Lam’s family said the wedding was held at the Sheraton Hanoi on Jan 3 and another ceremony will be held at the Park Hyatt Saigon on the 10th, with nearly 250 guests attending each of them. Lam, a HCMC girl, will go and live in Hanoi with her husband and continue to pursue her entertainment career.
She has just completed shooting for the historical film Tay Son hao kiet (Tay Son’s heroes) in which she plays the role of Princess Ngoc Han, Emperor Quang Trung’s beloved wife.
She plans to complete her business administration course at the Raffles International College in HCMC.
The 23-year-old was an aspiring singer and actress when she was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam. She went on to reach the semifinals of the Miss Universe pageant held in Vietnam the same year.
