A TV miniseries commissioned by a Dutch museum in an attempt to explain the origins of one of its Asian porcelain collection will be aired in Vietnam beginning April 3 with English subtitles, according to a press release issued on Friday.

The three-part Manh ghep cuoc doi (Porcelain) was produced by Vietnamese-owned Propeller Group and Superflex – a group of artists from Copenhagen.

Each part will broadcast three times per day at 0.35 a.m., 8.35 a.m., and 4.35 p.m. Vietnam time on April 3, 4 and 5 on the local VTV4 channel.

The series tells the love story of a female writer and a ceramic vase that connects her with another girl from the past. The vase was carried on a ship from Asia to Europe in the 17th century.

It was screened in the Netherlands’ Middelburg City, where the Zeeuws Museum is located, last October.
