Hanoi to have more social housing projects

Hanoi plans to roll out eight new social housing projects, delivering 1,583 apartments with a total floor area of 255,722 square metres.

Under the municipal people’s committee’s decision, five projects will be situated in Thuong Tin District with 184 apartments. Three will be located in Ha Hoi Commune, while the remaining two will be in Thuong Tin Town. The project is set to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027.

Two projects, totalling 882 apartments, will be built in Long Bien District. The combined investment is VND1.89 trillion (USD4.91 million). Both will be located in Ngoc Thuy Ward, with one project scheduled to begin in 2028 and the other in 2030.

One project will be situated in Hoang Mai Disrict, requiring an investment of VND823 billion, and offering 500 apartments. The construction is expected to be completed by 2028.

The Hanoi Department of Construction has announced that by next year, the city is expected to complete 11 social housing projects, delivering around 6,000 apartments with a total floor area of about 345,000 square metres.

Fifty social housing projects, providing nearly 57,200 apartments, will be launched in Hanoi between 2026 and 2030.
