A design plan of the Tu Lien Bridge.
At a meeting held by the committee on November 21, vice chairman Duong Duc Tuan was assigned to work with the Pacific Construction Group of China and the Vietnam's Vingroup on the construction plan for Tu Lien Bridge.
Tu Lien Bridge will be built between Nhat Tan and Long Bien bridges to help connect Tay Ho, Long Bien, and Dong Anh districts.
The bridge will be 4.8 kilometres long, starting from Huu Hong Dyke in Dong Anh District and ending at the expanded National Highway 5.
Meanwhile, the Hanoi Transport Department was asked to submit their study of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge project for approval by February 2025.
The arch-shaped bridge is around 5.5 kilometres, running through the districts of Hoan Kiem, Hai Bai Trung and Long Bien.
Construction of Tran Hung Dao Bridges is slated to be started by the second quarter of 2025.
The Ngoc Hoi Bridge project, along with its connection roads, will be financed by Hanoi’s public funds, contributions from Hung Yen Province, and central government support.
The 7.5-km bridge has an estimated investment of VND11.70 trillion.
Currently, Hanoi has eight bridges over the Red River.
