Facebooker Ho Hai has been arrested by HCM City Police for spreading propaganda against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
The information was posted on the website of HCM City Police on November 2.
Hai, 52, was arrested at a private clinic in Thu Duc District while posting on his Facebook account and some other social websites, said police.
Hai's Facebook account, displayed as Ho Hai, has been blocked. Police has also found many other social websites set up under the account name BS Ho Hai (Doctor Ho Hai) sharing articles and videos that go against the line and policies of the Communist Party and the state.
It is reported that Hai used to work as a doctor at Cho Ray Hospital and was then sacked. He has been working at a private clinic in HCM City since 2004.
Police are conducting further investigation into the case.
