Defense Minister General Ngo Xuan Lich, leading a high-ranking Vietnamese defense delegation, left Hanoi on August 28 for a three-day official visit to the People's Republic of China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Senior Lieutenant General Chang Wanquan.

This is the first visit to China by General Ngo Xuan Lich in his capacity as the Vietnamese Defense Minister.
The visit is to continue implementing agreements between the two Parties and the two States, including increasing high-ranking delegation exchanges, deepening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation towards practical outcomes.
According to the schedule, Minister Lich will hold talks with Chinese Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Chang Wanquan, pay courtesy calls to senior leaders of the Communist Party of China, the Government, the Chinese Central Military Commission and tour to several units of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
