The visit is among activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and India.
The two Indian ships to visit HCM City
The visit includes exchange activities between naval officers of the two countries and a meeting between representatives from the Indian ship and the Vietnamese government.
The Indian guests will also visit historical sites in and around Ho Chi Minh City, as well as sporting events.
The Indian delegation and Vietnam People’s Navy will then conduct passage exercise training operations.
Visits by navy and coast guard ships from the two countries have become a regular activity. Vietnam People’s Navy Frigate 016 Quang Trung visited India in February this year to participate in the Multilateral Naval Exercise in Visakhapatnam, India.
Indian Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh visited Vietnam on June 8-10.
