The site clearance of the tourism project on O Quy Ho Pass
Giang A May from Chu Va 12 Village in Son Binh Commune said that the construction has gone on for months.
The company has discharged soil and stone into the nearby stream, causing mass fish deaths. People from Chu Va 12 Village have complained to Pusamcap JS Company about the problem, but this has still been ignored.
The Hoang Lien eco-tourism site project, invested by Pusamcap JS Company, was licensed in 2012, covering a total area of 51.75 hectares in Son Binh Commune.
During the site clearance process, Pusamcap JS Company encroached onto local people’s land.
Pham Van Dinh, chairman of Son Binh Commune, said that in July this year, the locality set up a task force to inspect construction. Authorities requested the firm to stop any construction work on land owned by local residents.
However, the company ignored this.
Sung Lu Pao, chairman of Tam Duong District said the company had continued its activities, and the case would be reported to higher levels to be settled.
