A rescue team of over 100 people are searching for a tourist around the mountainous area with high cliffs, waterfalls and springs.
Chairwoman of the Ninh Ich Communal People's Committee in Ninh Hoa Town, Bui Thi Thuy Lien, said on Tuesday that rescue workers were still looking for Nguyen Huu Trung who went missing at the Ba Ho Tourist Site on February 17.
"The 29-year-old male tourist was going on a picnic at the tourist site with his six family members at 10.30 am on February 17," the official said. "While other people stopped for a rest, Trung continued going. After that, the group were unable to contact Trung and informed managers of the site to ask for help."
According to the family, Trung used to have mental problems. He is 1.60 metres tall and was wearing a green T-shirt and glasses and carried a blue backpack on the day.
Local authorities have sent a rescue team of over 100 people to the tourist site to look for the man around the mountainous area with high cliffs, waterfalls and springs. The man has now been missing for three days.
