Yandex NV, Russia's largest web search engine depicts the Spratly and Paracel islands belonging to Vietnam.
Searching with key word Vietnam on Yandex Maps the results show both the Spratly and Paracel islands as Vietnamese territory.
With key words Spratly Islands or Paracel Islands, Yandex Maps will give out relating information such as the Paracel Islands is a district of Danang City while the Spratly islands is a district of Khanh Hoa Province.
After the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Hague said on July 12 that China’s claims to historic rights for waters within the nine-dash line are contrary to the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Se, the Yandex Maps once again depicts Vietnam's sovereignty over the Spratly and Paracel Islands.
