Thien Dang Tourism Project located in Dung Quat Economic Zone in Binh Son Commune is invested by Quang Nam Investment and Development JS Company.
The project kicked off in 2005 with an investment of VND200 billion (USD8 million). After being adjusted multiple times, the investment was raised to VND1.8 trillion.
Many of the project’s completed facilities have deteriorated.
According to the Quang Ngai People's Committee, problems related to site clearance and compensation were among the major reasons for the project’s stagnant progress.
The investor pledged to put the project into operation several times but failed to finish.
Local authorities said that they would continue working with the investor on the project.
