International Trans-Viet cycling tourney to kick off

The 2010 International Men's Trans-Viet cycling tournament will kick of on September 23.

The 2010 International Men\'s Trans-Viet cycling tournament will kick of on September 23 as part of activities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi, announced the General Department of Sports and Physical Training yesterday.

Starting in Ho Chi Minh City on September 23, the 17-stage 1,700 race will pass through many provinces and cities before finishing in Hanoi on October 9.

Two international teams from Mongolia and Laos will compete with 11 Vietnamese teams including An Giang Plant Protection; Can Tho; Domesco Dong Thap; Saigon Plant Protection 1,2; Vinh Long 1,2; Hoa Binh, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and the Army team. The winners will receive prizes worth around VND 300 million.
