According to Do Ngoc Hai, Head of Operation and Maintenance at HCM City’s Department of Transport, Metro Line 1 is set to boost its daily frequency from 200 to 240 trips, with intervals of 8 to 12 minutes. A fleet of nine trains is expected to carry approximately 120,000 passengers per day.

Hai added that during the holiday, interprovincial bus stations are projected to handle around 110,900 passengers and 6,680 trips per day, up 5 percent from last year.
Bus demand would drop by 10-15 percent throughout the holiday. Accordingly, the HCM City Department of Transport will cut services on student-heavy routes and suspend two lines connecting to Vietnam National University-HCM City.
Meanwhile, the department will raise services by 10 percent on bus routes to link major bus terminals, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, tourist destinations, and shopping malls.
