According to the HCM City Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR), around 40 people with the majority of being experts from Europe and Japan will support the pilot run of the route. The test run will take place between 8 am to 6 pm on February 8-9 and February 12-14.
The trial operation of the project was conducted last April.
Roughly 97.5 percent of the project has been completed. The line is scheduled to be fully operational in July this year.The metro route has a total investment of USD43.7 trillion (USD1.89 billion). It is 19.7km long with 14 stations, including three underground and 11 elevated.
As many as 440 employees of the HCM City Urban Railways No.1 Company Limited are being trained for operating the Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien metro line.
