The Hanoi Traffic Police Division have arranged more task forces to regulate traffic and ensure road safety.
Hanoi traffic police have to be on duty earlier than usual. According to Captain Dinh Van Dat, as Tet is approaching, the volume of vehicles increases and people are on the road earlier.
Many roads in Hanoi such as the elevated Ring Road 3, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien and Nguyen Xien have seen traffic jams over recent days. So more traffic police officers are assigned to these routes.
Each traffic congestion prevention shift lasts around four hours. The morning shift is from 6 am to 10 am and the afternoon between 4 pm to 7 pm. Additionally, traffic police have tightened control over patrols, inspections and the settlement of violations.
