Fuel prices continue rising

Domestic retail prices of petroleum products in Vietnam rise on February 1.

The price of biofuel E5 RON92 grew by VND740 to VND22,910 per litre, while RON95 rose by VND620 to VND24,160 per litre.

Diesel oil prices rose by VND620 to VND20,990 per litre; Kerosene prices increased by VND380 per litre VND20,920 per litre, while mazut oil price fell by VND590 to VND16,080 per kilo.

So far this year, fuel prices have been adjusted four times, including one decrease and three increases.

The government has assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work with concerned agencies to draft a new decree to replace existing decrees 83 and 95 related to petroleum-related business. The draft will be submitted to the government for consideration in the second quarter of this year.
