In Binh Trung Ward, a blood drive on April 18 drew early crowds ahead of its 7 a.m. start, with participants completing registration, screening and supervised donation.

Dinh Thi Bich, 42, said she donates blood two to three times a year and had come with friends after hearing about the event. “I hope my donations can help those in need,” she added.
Dang Tan Anh, 45, a primary school teacher, said he had donated blood 30 times, joining the programme with a colleague after receiving notice from his school.
The event also saw participation from foreigners living in the area. Roys Shawn David, 32, from Europe, said he joined at a friend’s invitation and found the process efficient and well organised.

Similar drives were held a day earlier in Xuan Hoa Ward, attracting more than 120 participants and collecting 97 units of blood.
In Rach Dua Ward, the event drew armed forces personnel, officials and residents from 25 neighbourhoods, yielding 353 units of blood to support medical treatment efforts.
