Endangered monkeys released from captivity

Three monkeys, which were handed over from two households in the northern province of Ha Tinh, have been released.

Three monkeys, which were handed over from two households in the northern province of Ha Tinh, have been released.

On February 12, the Ha Tinh environmental police transferred the three monkeys to Vu Quang National Park. The two stump-tailed macaques weigh four and one kilos respectively, while the pig-tailed macaque weighs five kilos.

 

The monkeys released back into the wild


After being taken care of at the national park, the monkeys were released back into the wild on Monday.

The pig-tailed and stump-tailed macaque are rare and endangered species.

Vu Quang National Park have received and released many rare animals, including monkeys.
