Nguyen Van Linh and Tran Van Tru have become the first streets in Danang to only offer cashless services.

The two streets include restaurants and shops which attract lots of visitors every day.

Trung Duc, the owner of a restaurant chain on Nguyen Van Linh Street, said that he and many shop owners welcomed and supported the cashless payment policy due to its convenience.

"In fact we have applied cashless payments since our opening," Duc said. "Some 70 percent of our customers are paying by cards or QR code."

According to the People's Committee of Hai Chau District, some 80 percent of shops and restaurants on these two streets are expected to turn to cashless payment during the pilot.

Earlier Danang also approved cashless payment methods at 1,000 stores at Con, Han, and Dong Da markets.
