Nguyen Phung Minh, chairman of Ea Yong Commune in Krong Pak District, said that storms occurred in the locality on June 16, seriously ravaging local durian plantations.

Up to 500 tonnes of durian in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak have fallen off the trees due to unfavourable weather
Nearly, 300 durian trees which are around 18 years old were uprooted, including up to 250 trees in Ea Yong Commune.

The commune is making a report on specific losses of each household to submit to the district, Phung noted.
