Bac Ninh authorities have declared an erosion emergency at Cau Dyke for the second time in the past five months.
On March 3, some small cracks were found on a section of dyke running through Van Phuc residential area in Bac Ninh City’s Van An Ward. On March 8, the condition worsened, causing 50 metre-long and 5-10 centimetre-deep cracks. As a result, some facilities of three households located by the dyke were damaged.
Van An residential area is densely populated.
