Asian girls’ volleyball comes to HCM City

A total of 15 volleyball teams from countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region will take part in the Asian Youth Girls’ Volleyball Championship.

A total of 15 volleyball teams from countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region will take part in the Asian Youth Girls’ Volleyball Championship to be held in Ho Chi Minh City from September 12-20.

The 15 participating teams will be divided into four pools, of which Vietnam is listed in Pool A together with Kazakhstan and New Zealand, according to a press briefing in HCM City on August 27.

Japan, India, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong will compete against each other in Pool B. Pool C includes Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and Fiji while Pool D matches China, the Republic of Korea and Iran.

After pool competitions, the best two teams selected from each pool will enter the quarterfinals.
