A construction company has discovered 80 105mm bullets, other munitions and weapons from the American War while digging drainage in Buon Ma Thuot City.

Nguyen Nhu Tho from Dak Lak Provincial Military Command said on November 7 that they had dug up 80 105mm bullets, 300kg of explosives and other kinds of ammunition including shoulder-fired M72anti-tank rockets and M30 machine gun.
The explosives were found on November 4 when Hoang Nam Construction Company was digging drainage in Thanh Nhat Ward. The company reported to the authorities immediately. An infantry division of Dak Lak Provincial Military Command arrived the next day to deal with the explosives.
"Many of the 105mm bullets still have detonators," Tho said.
The local authorities have transferred the ammunition from the area for a controlled explosion. It is reported that this area was used as a military camp for a South Vietnam artillery regiment.
