A bomb weighing nearly 350 kilos dating back to the American War has been found in the Lam River in the central province of Nghe An.

Nghe An Provincial Military Command announced on June 9 that they had just recovered a bomb from the bed of the Lam River in Thanh Chuong Town.
According to a report from local authorities, the bomb with its detonator intact was found by a group of five fishermen who were diving in the river. The bomb was 1.2 metres long and nearly 350 kilos in weight.

"After recovering it from the river, we safely detonated it the same day," the local military command said.
