
The downpour lasted more than two hours, flooding several major roads across the city.

The heavy rain blanketed many roads while traffic volumes continued to rise towards the end of the day.

The Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Centre forecast thunderstorms and scattered moderate rain across southern provinces and cities over the next three days, with some areas expected to experience heavy to very heavy rain.
Rain is expected mainly around midday, in the evening and at night, although some areas could see rain from the morning.
