Two workers found dead in eight-metre-deep sewer in Danang

Rescue teams in Danang City have recovered the bodies of two workers trapped in a sewer about eight metres deep on August 26.

Danang Police reported that around 12.10 pm, residents near the intersection of Nguyen Thuc Duong and Nguyen Duy Trinh streets in Ngu Hanh Son Ward noticed the sewer opening and saw two men lying motionless at the bottom. They immediately called local authorities.

Police confirmed both men, dressed in work clothes, had died before rescuers could reach them. The bodies were brought up within 10 minutes using specialised equipment.

The case is under investigation by Danang police.
