A dazzling high-altitude fireworks display lit up the sky above My Dinh Stadium on Tuesday evening, marking the 50th anniversary of the Reunification Day (April 30).

Among the thousands of attendees was Luong Hong Nhung, who eagerly posed for photos with the breathtaking fireworks display.

“This is the first time I’ve experienced such a grand and emotional performance,” she shared. “I was especially moved by the scene featuring tanks carrying soldiers. The fireworks were truly spectacular – every part of the show was powerful and deeply touching” (Photo: Hai Long).

The 15-minute firework show, featuring both high and low-altitude pyrotechnics, was launched from the F1 racetrack adjacent to My Dinh Stadium.

Earlier in the evening, tens of thousands of people flocked to My Dinh Stadium to witness the celebration, causing severe congestion along Le Quang Dao Street. Some took over an hour to escape the traffic and make their way home (Photo: Ho Hai Hoang).

Hanoi will host another major fireworks display on April 27 at Thong Nhat Park, as part of the ongoing commemorations.
