In the first seven months of this year, 106 railway accidents occurred in Vietnam, including 49 cases at unlicensed crossings.
There are still 3,262 unauthorized crossings on national railway lines, posing high risks for traffic accidents.
According to a representative from the Vietnam Railway Authority, a major cause of railway traffic accidents is pedestrians' and road vehicles' lack of attention when crossing railway points. It's crucial for everyone to be aware and cautious, as many people still attempt to cross railway tracks despite warnings.
The Traffic Police Department has proposed a plan to strictly enforce regulations for railway violations. This initiative, which includes tightening control over railway routes to detect violations promptly, offers hope for a safer railway system.
