Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thien Nhan has launched a campaign to reform tertiary education management for the 2010-2012 period, paving the way for changes in improving training quality in the higher education level.
Deputy PM Nhan also called upon all students, lecturers, education managers and authorities to actively involve in the campaign at a launching ceremony in Hanoi on March 6 to implement the Prime Minister’s instruction on the reform of tertiary education management in the 2010-2012 period..
Under the campaign, the ministry will hold monthly review on the implementation process and its each deputy ministers to monitor specific areas.
The video meeting drew nearly 1,400 representatives from relevant ministries and branches and senior officials from universities and colleges, education management agencies.
Vietnam now has 375 universities and colleges nationwide.
