Petroleum prices rose at 3 pm today, September 26, following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of biofuel E5 RON95 grew by VND750 to VND20,510 per litre, while RON92 increased by VND680 to VND19,620 per litre.

Diesel prices increased by VND460 to VND17,500 per litre; kerosene rose by VND320 to VND17,870 per litre. Meanwhile, mazut prices soared by VND530 to VND14,350 per kilogramme.

Since early this year, petrol prices have increased 19 times and decreased 19 times, while diesel prices have risen 16 times and dropped 22 times.

The two ministries decided not to use the petrol price stabilisation fund this time.

Higher fuel prices are driven by factors, including escalating conflicts in the Middle East, China’s economic stimulus measures, and the prolonged Russia and Ukraine war.
