The company has received registrations for group tickets since September 19 and this will last until September 30, with sales beginning at 8 am on October 1 and running through October 5. The priority will be given to groups from the people's armed forces, universities, colleges, industrial zones, export processing zones and social organisations.
The Vietnam Railways Corporation has announced it will start selling train tickets for the 2025 Tet Lunar New Year from early next month,
Each group is permitted to book and purchase a minimum of five return tickets per route.
From 8 am on October 6, tickets will be widely sold on all channels, including the railway website, e-wallet applications, mobile ticketing apps, as well as at train stations, ticket outlets, and authorised agents of Vietnam Railways.
According to a representative from Vietnam Railways Corporation, no additional or convertible seats will be offered on trains during the Tet transportation period to ensure service quality.
The Tet train schedule is slated to operate from January 15, 2025 to February 16, 2025.
The railway sector will use seven regular pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains on the Hanoi-HCM City route and 13 pairs of other passenger trains.
