Cuoi Ha Commune People's Committee said the incident occurred around 2 am on September 12 at Bui Van Chon's house in Ma Mu Village.
Rescue forces arrived and saved a six-year-old boy from the debris at 3.15 am. He suffered some slight injuries and had been sent to a local healthcare centre for treatment.
At around 4 am, rescue forces found a man and a woman. They were rushed to a local hospital, but then both died due to their serious injuries. They were identified as Duong Van Nguyen, 40, and his wife, Nguyen Thi Ha, 30.
According to the house's owner, Bui Van Chon, the couple and their son visited them at 10 pm on September 11, when his family had been evacuated to another place for four days due to landslide threats. However, the couple still asked him to allow them to stay at his house that night.
