Dantri Newspaper, in collaboration with two volunteer clubs comprising young doctors and local youths, organised on Sunday a first aid and drowning prevention workshop for students at Minh Xuan Primary School in Yen Bai Province.
The programme featured a theatrical performance aimed at educating students on practical ways to avoid drowning and respond to emergencies.
Following the performance, the doctors provided hands-on guidance on how to prevent and respond to drowning, electric shocks, and other common accidents, offering valuable information to both students and parents.
Nguyen Thi Ha, Vice Chairwoman of Minh Xuan Commune People’s Committee, praised the program, noting that it was especially meaningful for the community, which is surrounded by streams, ponds, and lakes.
“Such activities are vital to equipping our children with the skills they need to protect themselves, particularly as they approach summer break and spend more time around water,” she said. “We extend our sincere thanks to Dantri, the doctors, and the volunteers for delivering this impactful programme.”
