A Facebook group in Vietnam is labelled with their group title pending on June 24.

That afternoon, numerous group administrators received a notification stating: “We have suspended your group.” The issue affected groups across various sectors, including commerce, entertainment, and technology.

Ngo Minh Hieu, an administrator of several cybersecurity pages and groups, confirmed that some of the groups he manages were also affected.

In addition to being suspended, two of Hieu’s groups were forced by Facebook to change their names. They now are labelled with their group title pending.

“I’ve contacted Meta for assistance, but it’s unclear whether this is a technical glitch on the platform or if a group of users is exploiting a bug to mass-report groups,” Hieu said.

In response, many administrators have proactively disabled group activity. Users attempting to access affected groups now see the message “This group is temporarily paused” and are unable to post, submit content, or share images.

As of the morning of June 25, Meta had not issued any statement regarding the incident.
