VND18-trillion Lam Dong highway project approved

Authorities of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong have approved a VND18 trillion (USD705 million) project to build a road linking Bao Loc City and Duc Trong District.

The road will be approximately 73 kilometres long and connect Loc Phat Ward in Bao Loc and Lien Khuong-Prenn Expressway in Duc Trong District.

The route has four lanes, is 17 metres wide, and is scheduled to be completed in 2027.

The Lam Dong People's Committee stated that the Bao Loc-Lien Khuong Expressway project will help complete the expressway system from Dau Giay (Dong Nai) to Lien Khuong (Lam Dong).

The highway is expected to boost connectivity with the national transportation network, shorten travel time between the Central Highlands region and the southern economic hub, and strengthen Lam Dong's socio-economic development.
