Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just appointed a new general executive director for the troubled Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin).
Truong Van Tuyen, former deputy general director of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), and chief of the management board of Dung Quat Oil Refinery was appointed as new chief of Vinashin.
Tuyen will be the third general executive director since August after Tran Quang Vu and Nguyen Quoc Anh were suspended from the post.
The appointment has been approved by chief of the Government Office Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
It is scheduled that Truong Van Tuyen will officially take over Nguyen Quoc Anh as Vinashin’s general executive director from October 11 and Anh will return to his former position as marketing director of this group.
