A Vietnamese delegation led by the Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Ha Thi Khiet has visited France, Switzerland and Belgium to spur the campaign to study and follow late President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example.
At a meeting with staff from the Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France, Mrs Khiet praised the centre’s activities over the last two years, which have contributed greatly to publicising Vietnam, its land, people and culture as well as the image of late President Ho Chi Minh to European friends.
While staying in France, the delegation visited various Vietnamese media agencies such as Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the Vietnam News Agency, the Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper and the Headquarters of the Vietnamese Association in France.
When meeting with Vietnamese students in France, Mrs Khiem said that the Vietnamese Party and State always pays attention to the development of the 300,000 strong people- Vietnamese community in France, considering them an indispensible part of the nation.
The delegation laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in Montreuil and visited the apartment in Compoint Alley in Paris where President Ho Chi Minh used to live and work during his revolutionary activities in France (from 1921-1923).
Earlier, during the visit to Switzerland and Belgium, the delegation met with the Permanent Vietnamese Mission to the United Nations, representatives from the World Trade Organisation, various some Vietnamese representative offices in Switzerland, the Vietnamese community and the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Belgium.
