Vietnam will send official candidates to take part in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant in Brazil, said Le Diem Ly, a representative from Hoan Vu Company.

The company is authorised to send Vietnamese candidates to this beauty contest.
The list of five potential candidates includes Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han, the first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 Vu Hoang My, the second runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 Dang Thuy Trang, Miss Vietnam Global 2010 Luu Thi Diem Huong and the second runner-up of Miss Vietnam Global 2010 Pham Thuy Vy Victoria.
In last year’s event, Vietnam had no representative as Model Thanh Hang refused to attend. A year earlier, Vo Hoang Yen, the first runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam, competed at Miss Universe 2009. She did not win any high prize but made a good impression on the audience.
Miss Universe 2011, the 60th of its kind to be hosted by Brazil for the firs time, is expected to attract participants from more than 80 countries and territories around the world. The final round of the three-week event will take place in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo on September 12.
