Vietnam is interested in the issues discussed at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia, especially related to regional connectivity, appropriate economic growth model for East Asia, and dealing with development challenges.

He briefed Schwab on Vietnam’s implementation of a 2011-2020 socio-economic development strategy with three breakthroughs in constitution, infrastructure and human resources, together with economic restructuring and sustainable development.
PM Dung said he hopes the annual WEF will focus more on issues of Vietnam’s concerns.
President Klause spoke highly of the development of WEF-Vietnam relations, especially since the successful organization of WEF on East Asia in Vietnam in 2010.
He welcomed PM Dung’s participation in the forum and Vietnam’s cooperation in WEF activities.
He also took the opportunity to invite Mr Dung to attend the WEF in Davos, Switzerland, in 2013.
At another meeting with Thai PM Yingluck Sinawatra, PM Dung said Vietnam wants to enhance bilateral cooperation, which is based on mutual understanding and trust.
The two PMs agreed to boost exchanges of high-ranking delegations, ministries and localities and discussed the inter-governmental meeting at the end of 2012.
Later the same day, PM Dung and his entourage left Bangkok for Hanoi, successfully concluding his participation in the conference.
