Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc section
Almost 2,330 households, including 808 households in Dong Da District and 1,520 households in Ba Dinh, will be relocated to Nam Trung Yen and Trung Hoa-Nhan Chinh resettlement areas.
The first phase will cost VND7.2trn, including VND5.8trn (USD248m) is for ground clearance from the city's budget. The project will be implemented from late 2018 to 2020.
Thousands of households will be relocated
The Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc stretch of road is triple the cost of the Kim Lien-O Cho Dua section which cost over VND1.1bn (USD47,000) per metre and over twice the O Cho Dua-Hoang Cau section which cost VND1.4bn per metre.
Parking lots and green spaces are also designed along the road. The Hoang Cau-Voi Phuc is part of the Ring Road 1 project that connects with other routes to the city's centre.
This would be the most expensive road expansion project yet in Hanoi.
