Earlier, while digging soil in his garden in Phu Nhang neighbourhood, resident Le Nhon Cho found an object suspected to be an explosive.

Realising the potential danger, he covered it back with soil and immediately reported the case to authorities.

Upon receiving the report, police and military forces quickly arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area and placed warning signs to prevent accidents.

The case was also reported to higher-level authorities, including provincial police and the provincial military command, for coordinated handling.

After inspection, officials confirmed the object was a 105mm artillery shell left over from wartime.
