Tourist buses are causing serious congestion in many streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter.
Mostly 29-seater vehicles, these buses start gathering at local hotels from 7 am. They often remain parked for extended periods while waiting for tourists in the narrow streets, leading to constant traffic jams, particularly during rush hours.
Many locals have voiced their concerns to the city government, calling for actions to address this issue.

At a recent meeting, the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee instructed authorities in 18 wards to focus on public transport development in the Old Quarter and to restrict the operation of large tourist buses in the area.
The Hoan Kiem Traffic Police Department reports that they have issued fines to 152 tourist bus drivers for illegal parking in the last six months.
