To ensure safety, all vehicles will be banned to travel on the bridge. Instead, vehicles will run across Nhat Tan Bridge.

The bridge will be covered by iron sheets during the project implementation to avoid being affected by weather.

Huyen noted that five foreign experts will be invited to help with technical issues of the project.

The Transport and Development Strategy Institute will be the project’s consulting unit; while the contractor will be carefully selected.

The bridge will be reinforced with a layer of high-strength concrete and shear studs. The project, which has a total investment of VND270 billion (USD11,739), is scheduled to be finished by the end of the fourth quarter of this year.

The bridge has been upgraded for many times, however, it then quickly deteriorated.
