Investigators have found a suicide note from the passenger in the taxi that exploded in Quang Ninh Province, revealing the cause for the explosion that killed two people on October 3.

The taxi suddenly exploded while running on Tran Phu Street
A taxi suddenly exploded while running on Tran Phu Street, Cam Pha City at around 12:30pm, killing the driver and a passenger immediately. Nearby houses and vehicles are damaged and a motorbike rider was injured.
The passenger was identified as Le T. According to investigators, Le had been sentenced eight years of imprisonment for drug trading. In 2012, his sentence was suspended until September 1, because of worsening health, but the authorities had lost track of him.
Le's body was still holding two electric wires and the detonator in the taxi. The police also found the suicide note on his body, saying that he had disappointed everyone and he would only be a burden to others with his illness and debts.
Initial investigation shows that the taxi's engine was fine and there were explosives in the taxi. The taxi driver was still working like usual and didn't know Le. He was a victim of Le's action.
A witness said he also think that there were explosives on the car. He thinks that after the first explosion, the engine or fuel tank caught fire and caused the second explosion.
Electrical line workers are working to restore power to the area.
