Strong cold spell to hit northern region
According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the cold snap will start affecting some localities in the region on the evening of February 8. Temperatures will further sink on February 9-12.
During this time, Hanoi will see temperatures of 13-16 degrees. Meanwhile, northern mountainous localities will be colder with temperatures of 10-13 degrees. Some areas even will experience lower temperatures of below 10 degrees.
The cold snap will also bring light rain and strong winds to some northern localities.
