State budget comes to 15 sectors

The Government chief agreed to allocate the State budget to 15 sectors in order to effectively spend public resources for social development in the period of 2011-2015.

The Government chief agreed to allocate the State budget to 15 sectors in order to effectively spend public resources for social development in the period of 2011-2015.

According to the PM’s newly-approved Decision 60/2010/QĐ-TTg, the 15 sectors include (1) agro-forestry and fishery; (2) industry; (3) transportation; (4) water supply and waste treatment; (5) treasury; (6) culture; (7) sports; (8) information and communications; (9) science, technology, and IT; (10) education and training; (11) healthcare and food hygiene; (12) society; (13) natural resources and environment; (14) State management; and (15) national defense and security.

The Decision gives priority to socio-economic infrastructure projects for public good and important national-level projects.

The State budget will be given to localities on five criteria of population, development levels, natural area, administrative levels and supplementary conditions.
