The vessel, carrying 375 officers and sailors and led by Rear Admiral Hong Sang yong, was welcomed by representatives from Danang’s Department of External Affairs, Naval Region 3 Command, Coast Guard Region 2 Command and other military agencies.
The South Korean delegation included defence attache Lieutenant Colonel Park Jeong hwan from the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam.

ROKS Hansando displaces 4,500 tonnes, measures 142 metres in length and 18 metres in height, and is equipped with stealth technology designed to reduce detectable signals and limit exposure to enemy surveillance.
During the visit, the delegation will pay courtesy calls on Danang authorities, Military Region 5 and Naval Region 3, and join sports exchanges, cultural activities and sightseeing.
The ship is scheduled to depart Danang on December 5.
