Gas prices have been cut by VND31,000 (USD1.46) per 12-kilo canister beginning March 1, a company official said.

Do Trung Thanh, deputy head of Saigon Petro’s Business Department said that the price reduction means that a 12-kilo gas canister will be priced at VND399,000 (USD18.18).
This is the third consecutive price cut came after a spike last December. The cut comes after some volatility in the market.
According to Thanh, the price cut is a result of a fall in wholesale imported gas prices in March.
The price fall was expected by gas traders since mid-February because of the dip in the international market, he added.
