PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hoped to see the model of “Miracle Village” in Kawakami, Nagano Prefecture, which is a leading high-tech agricultural centre in Japan, being applied in Vietnam.

The Government chief made the point on October 24 in Hanoi while hosting Governor of Nagano Prefecture Shuichi Abe who was on a working visit to Vietnam.
PM Phuc welcomed the initiative on the transfer of clean vegetable cultivation techniques in Nagano Prefecture via dispatching Japanese experts to Vietnam and receiving Vietnamese young laborers for training in Japan.
The host leader took the occasion to seek Governor Shuichi Abe’s support to expand the model of “Miracle Village” in Vietnamese localities.
He welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on economic and agricultural cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Nagano Prefecture.
The Government, said PM Phuc, pledged to create favorable ways for Nogano Prefecture to beef up ties with Vietnamese ministries and localities.
For his part, Mr. Shuichi Abe revealed that during the first tour of Vietnam, he was accompanied by a group of delegations, including bank and business leaders, especially Head of Kawakami Village Tadahico Fujihara.
Governor Shuichi Abe hoped to enjoy more opportunities to spur linkages with Vietnamese localities not only in agricultural area but also other fields of strength like manufacturing, electronics, and tourism.
